2nd hole piercing help?

so ive had my 2nd hole pirced for 2 months so i was gonna change them and u prop kno they pierice u with those difficult backings so i get one side out and i try to put a new one in so when i did i felt it go through the cartlige and back out i took it outand put the old one back in when i put tht one back in but couldnt find the hole when i did dit hurt again and stings anyone help me?
