If i wash my hair with hot water, after i dye it.. will the color come out of my hair?

when iused to work at cactus hair salon they told me not to wash with hot after a color.. the other day i got my hair dyed and the girl washe dit with hot water.. IT LITERALLy doesnt look died at all!!
